Provably fair

How you can be sure every deck is shuffled fairly - and check it yourself.

1. Locked in

Before a hand, the server picks a secret seed and shows you its SHA-256 hash. It cannot change the seed afterwards.

2. You add yours

Every seated player's browser adds a random seed. The server could not know these when it locked in.

3. Check it

After the hand the secret is revealed. Rebuild the deck from all seeds and compare with the cards dealt.

The maths

Random numbers come from HMAC-SHA256(serverSeed, "clientSeeds:nonce:counter"), where clientSeeds are the players' seeds joined with ":" in dealing order, and nonce is the hand number. A Fisher-Yates shuffle (with rejection sampling, so no card is favoured) orders the 52 cards.

Dealing: one card to each player starting left of the button, then a second round. Then burn + 3 flop cards, burn + turn, burn + river.

The easiest way: open any hand in your History and press "Verify". Or enter the values below.
